Data Readiness CheckBook the check

// For teams hiring an FDE or AI engineer

What's your company data worth? Start with whether it's ready.

You're hiring someone to put AI on top of your data. Most teams find out the data isn't ready the same week that person starts, which is an expensive week to find out. We'll map it for free first, then tell you whether some of that history could help pay for the AI work.

Free. One 30-minute call. You keep the map either way.

// 01 What you get

A map of your data. Yours to keep.

Your new engineer will ask four questions in week one. We answer them before they start.

01Systems
Which tools hold your history: email, Slack or Teams, Jira, your CRM, your accounting system, call recordings, shared drives.
02Years
How far back each one goes, and where the gaps are.
03Condition
What's clean, what's duplicated, and what's a mess that will slow an agent down.
04Readiness
What your engineer can use on day one, and what needs work first.

// 02 Estimate

A first estimate in about 30 seconds.

Licensing partners price company records mostly on two things: how many people did the work, and how many years of it you kept. This uses the same inputs they do.

Where most of the team works
Where your records live (pick any)
Does the company own these records?

Add your staff, years and where the team works to see a range.

// 03 How licensing works

Five steps, and your lawyer holds the gate.

  1. 01

    We map your data.

    Free, one call. You keep the map.

  2. 02

    We introduce a licensing partner.

    Only if there's a fit, and only if you ask us to.

  3. 03

    Your lawyer sets the scope.

    Nothing moves until your own counsel signs off on what's in and what's out.

  4. 04

    The partner prepares a copy.

    They remove names and personal details (de-identification) and package it under your contract with them. We never hold your data.

  5. 05

    The partner pays you.

    Price, exclusivity and timing are set in your contract with the partner. Exclusive terms of about two years are common.

What labs are asking for

  • Finance, accounting and tax workflows
  • Legal work (after an ethics review)
  • Freight, logistics and manufacturing
  • Trades and field-service operations
  • Logs of AI agents doing real work

What they ask for less

  • General marketing copy
  • Old, generic code

// 04 Plain terms

What we are, and what we're not.

  • If a licensing deal closes, the licensing partner pays us a referral fee. You pay us nothing for the check.
  • We don't give legal, privacy or tax advice. Your own lawyer decides what, if anything, is in scope.
  • We don't de-identify, buy or resell data. Licensed partners do that work under your contract with them.
  • You can go straight to any licensing partner without us. We'll still send you the map.

// 05 Book the check

Get your data map.

We reply within one business day with two times for a 30-minute call.

By sending this, you're asking us to contact you about a data-readiness check. If a licensing deal ever closes, the partner pays us a referral fee.
